What is Buddy on the Road?
Buddy on the Road is a feature that Bonopolis uses to track how users move through different locations, interact with media, or respond to advertising campaigns. The analysis of survey results and collected location data is done completely anonymously. We collect various types of data, in particular: automatically captured device data, custom device data, as well as device location data and defined user and event data. We only share location data with third-party clients in combination with non-identifiable profile data or passive measurement data, in order to identify certain location and/or traffic patterns of Bonopolis app users, understand movement patterns and digital actions, as well as with third-party providers to gain insights into movement patterns, develop profile applications, evaluate advertising campaigns, and re-target users for market research purposes.
How Does Buddy on the Road Work?
You will receive a message from us when you are in a specific store, for example, and can evaluate your shopping experience in that store through a short survey. Alternatively, we may ask you to share your impressions of an event. The surveys are always related to places or stores you have visited or where you are currently located.
How Can I Activate Buddy on the Road?
Activating it is simple! Launch the Bonopolis app on your smartphone and enable the 'Buddy on the Road' feature under 'Bonus Points'. You can toggle this feature on and off whenever you like. To see the feature in the Bonopolis app, you should have the latest version of your operating system installed. If you haven't downloaded the Bonopolis app yet, you can get it from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (Apple).
How Can I Manage Buddy on the Road in the App?
By activating Buddy on the Road in the app, you allow Bonopolis to access your mobile device’s location, whether the app is open or not. This ensures you do not miss any surveys. If you no longer wish to transmit location data through your device, you can withdraw your consent at any time by deactivating the Buddy on the Road feature in the Bonopolis app or adjusting the privacy settings on your device.

Have you heard Surf Buddy?
Surf Buddy is offered by invitation as an additional app (for smartphone/tablet) or as a browser extension (for computer/laptop) and allows you to earn monthly bonus points—even if you don't have time for surveys! Points are automatically granted to you solely for activation.

With Sound Buddy, an extra feature in the Bonopolis app, we can monitor the distribution of particular radio and TV ads. Activate Sound Buddy to get more survey invitations and earn additional points that you can exchange for rewards.
