What is Surf Buddy?
Surf Buddy anonymously records which websites you visit and which apps you use. This helps Bonopolis better understand how people use the internet, for example, by discovering when they visit specific websites and when they search online for certain information.
How Does Surf Buddy Work?
With the installation of Surf Buddy, information about user behavior is collected without users actively intervening or consciously participating in the process. It anonymously records the websites and apps visited by the user. This feature can be activated both in the app and in the browser via a proxy and is not controllable through the app like other features.
How Can I Activate Surf Buddy?
Surf Buddy can only be installed through a personal email invitation. The invitation contains a link to a consent form. Once you have given your consent, you will receive another email with a link to our Surf Buddy platform, where you will be guided step by step through the installation process. If you no longer wish to use Surf Buddy, you can revoke your consent at any time by uninstalling the tracking software (on Android and in the browser) or by changing the privacy settings on your device (iOS).
